Weekend Shenanigans

Good Morning everybody. Why is it that the week always drags on and on, but the weekend? The weekend goes by so fast you are left scratching your head Monday morning and wondering how you got here?

This weekend was a productive weekend for me! Saturday morning, I woke up super early and did all of my weekend cleaning in just a few hours! That was exciting. I was so motivated, that I even sat down and did my meal planning for the week and headed to the grocery store to get that knocked out! I HATE going Monday evening after work. Like Monday isn't bad enough already, at 5:00pm I just want to go home...not fight with everyone else that was a weekend slacker at the store!

That evening we met up with some friends at Billy's (a sports like bar/grill) and had some dinner. I was proud of myself and ordered just a Greek salad. No wings, no fries, no greasy bar food. Why was I so good? I lost 10 lbs after my dental surgery 2 weeks ago...and I ain't gaining that shit back! That was the motivation I needed to jump start my beast mode!

Chris and I don't like to leave the house most Sundays. It is a day of rest after all! His sweet sweet dad came over and helped us put our kitchen table together! I am so thankful for that!!! It has been sitting in our garage in boxes since November! It was one of our wedding presents.

I also shamelessly watched some Kim and Kourtney Take Miami Sunday afternoon. They make me feel like I have my shit together.

Sunday evening was our Valentines Day dinner. I whipped out our special glasses, and slaved over homemade sauce for our lasagna. Perhaps a recipe post to follow? I think yes!

So happy we had our table to sit at and enjoy this wonderful meal!

Speaking of meals, with my meal planning this week I have my lunches decided for. Got to stay in beast mode.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Bring it Monday!!!!

  1. We watch Kourtney and Kim on Sunday's too. It' a guilty pleasure, but we love it. And yes, it makes me so thankful we don't have their life! Sounds like a fun weekend! And that lasagna looks sooo good. Now I'm starving! Ha! Enjoy your week!

  2. Love the new kitchen table! Me and my hubby are going to look for one next weekend!

    1. Thank you! That baby comes with 2 additional bar stools not pictures, and has a leave under it that extends out for up to 8 people to sit! Good luck finding one! I love shopping and had fun, but it can be a really hard decision to make!

  3. Mmmm that lasagna looks delicious and I love your themed wine glasses :) Thanks for linking up, I appreciate it!

  4. I am on a flipping detox after this weekend & that lasagna made me almost tear up. THANKS. I agree about not leaving the house on Sunday. Mom always says if the Lord rested on that day then we are too!

I appreciate you stopping by. I would love to hear from you, please feel free to comment! If you leave an ugly or offensive comment, it may be deleted.
