First Things First, Truth Be Told I'm Lion!

So today I usually link up with Halie for First Things First, but Alexa is also doing a super fun link up today so you get a two for one!

First Things First

First thing I do at the gym
The gym? LOL! Just kidding. I really used to go to the gym every day before work when I lived in Atlanta. It was pretty awesome. Now, I live in the middle of no where in Alabama. Do you actually think there is a gym even remotely close to my house? Yeah, I thinks not. I am in the process of buying some cardio equipment for our house so I can get back to my morning work outs though. When I went to the gym, I pretty much just worked out on the elliptical and dreadmill (that is no typo!)

First date with my current significant other
I have been talking about this a lot lately, so sorry if this is a repeat for you. Chris and I spent an entire day together for our first date. We had lunch at Steak 'n Shake, visited some random places around Atlanta, and had dinner at Fellini's. It was absolutely an amazing day!

First email address
My first email address was also my AIM screen name. It is totally lame. Wait for it.....
cheerplaya1121@hotmail.com. Ummm yeah. Go ahead and laugh. I may have lost a few followers.

Truth Be Told I'm Lion!

With this link up, you tell two truths and one lie. I am not good at telling lies, so this may be a little ridiculous!

1. I never drank in high school.
I was a good kid. I got good grades, never drank, never snuck out of the house, I was pretty much every parents dream.

2. My first job in high school was at Kirkland's.
The summer before my senior year I started looking for a job. I started driving, and needed to make some of my own money to pay for car insurance and gas. I had my first interview at Kirkland's at Mall of Georgia and was hired later that afternoon. I ended up working there all through high school, college, all the way up until my first "real job."

3. I love scary movies.
Nothing gets my adrenaline pumping more than a scary movie. I just love the thrill seeking and all the gore.

So which of the three do you think is a lie??

It's true, I was a good kid in high school. I was terrified of disappointing my parents. I lived in a Disney bubble and was pretty much obliviously ignorant to most of the bad crap that the kids at my school did. The year I moved to that school, there were cheerleaders being punished for being drunk after a game or something. One of the reasons why I didn't want to join them.

I really did work at Kirkland's for almost 7 years! I worked at Mall of Georgia in Buford for several years,  and when my parents moved to Alabama I transferred to Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville because it was closer to good ol' University of West Georgia. I met amazing people while working at both locations and still stay connected with a few.

If you know anything about me, you would know that I HATE scary movies. A huge disappointment to my husband, as he loves them. I will watch action movies and sit at the edge of my seat. Any blood, gore or nasty? I cover my eyes or look away. No thanks!

  1. I love that you called it a 'dreadmill!' Somehow, I've never heard that before, but I think it's so funny! But your first date sounds amazing!! A whole day of fun sounds like a great first date :) So glad you linked up with me today!

  3. Dreadmill - love it! It is known as the "wheel of death" at my house (which is really just me since I'm the only one who pretends to use it)!

  7. I rarely like scary movies anymore, a lot of them are too "tacky" for me, and have lots of bad acting.

I didn't drink in high school, either. I preferred to wait until I was legal and wouldn't have to be paranoid about getting caught. Some people enjoy the thrill of doing it when they aren't supposed to, but not me.

  8. I hate scary/horror movies too. The intensity is too much for me. And the blood and gore make it even worse.
