It's Ok...that I want to throw turtle shells at cars Mario Kart style

Happy almost Friday my people! Linking up once again today with Amber and Neely to remind myself, and others, that it is OK....

Its Ok Thursdays

That I want to throw turtle shells and banana peels at people Mario Kart style while commuting to and from work. I mean come on people!!!!

That I felt I did my good deed for the day when I flashed my lights at 3 different cars because there is a cop at the bottom of the hill. The cops in Argo/Margaret area have nothing better than to give speeding tickets to people going 42 in a 40, so you got to look out for a fellow neighbor!

That it warmed my heart that all 3 said cars smiled and waved at me, 2 of them even mouthed "thank you." I love friendly people!

That I sometimes I sit in my closet in the mornings and try to find a shirt to match a necklace instead of the other way around.

To stop by the mom and pop Italian restaurant on the way home from work and pick up cheese ravioli for dinner because the thought of eating soup for the 3rd night in the row is giving you a headache, literally.

To fall asleep before 9:00pm several nights in a row. Don't judge me, I am getting old!

To ignore phone calls when you don't recognize the number.

To be in total amazement when you see your neighbor talking a wheel barrow and shovel down the street and fill in a huge hole in the road at 7:00am. I am going to have to write her a thank you card and maybe stick a Starbucks card in there or something. Just wow!

To get super excited when I signed into blogger this morning and saw I had 19 followers! I am so honored that 19 people want to follow this little blog of mine!! I love you all!

  2. HAHA, I so do that too... (the flash the lights thing at people to warn them), and we have Joe's Italian right beside our house, and we've yet to eat there since we moved in back in July. Oops! And I completely ignore calls that I don't know the number to. Then I google the number and try to find out who is was... 9 times out of 10 it's a telamarketer. UGH! Happy Thursday!!!

    1. I just saw you were a "no-reply" blogger, boo! You need to change that! I am following you back, I love finding Birmingham Bloggers! There aren't many out there and we need to stick together! I love Mario Kart, we get together with my in-laws and play sometimes. It is like childhood all over, there is lots of smack talk...and my husband and his sister usually quit playing because they are sore losers :)

  4. Hey Nadine! I found your blog through the linkup and I'm loving it! Especially because I have definitely thought, on more than one occasion, that the rules of the road in Mario Kart should definitely apply to the roads of real life. I'm new to blogging and I'd love it if you'd follow along with my blog, http://365projectlife.blogspot.com!! Looking forward to reading more! Happy Thursday! :)

  5. I definitely ignore phone calls if I dont know the number. And if I do pick up, I almost always regret it.

  6. I think you're insanely nice for just wanting to throw turtle shells. I usually want to plot people's murders on the road. ESPECIALLY bicyclists who drive in the middle of the freaking street! Gah.

And I always ignore unknown numbers. I think it comes from high school when a guy's ex-girlfriend called & cussed me out haha. Now I'm always afraid there's a crazy girl on the other end.
