Monday? No, thanks.

Good Morning. This post was brought to you today thanks to Dunkin' Donuts!

It is never a good Monday when you remember you didn't have time to go to the grocery store over the weekend and there is no coffee or creamer in your house. Thankfully, Dunkin' Donuts can be on my way to work if I want it to be :) That extra 10 minutes can totally be blamed on the "rain." And people, let me tell you...I think we need to start building at Arc because we are about to float away down here! It has been raining since like last Wednesday and no end in sight. My hair is not amused.

I wish I could do an exciting Weekend Update, but this weekend was filled with sadness. I attended a funeral this weekend, my husband's uncle passes away. Of course, there was all kinds of drama, what family function exists without it, right?

I got to thinking this weekend about how lucky I am to be a part of his family though. There is a core group that is always there for each other no matter what, and that is a great feeling and a rarity these days. Most families are so broken, distant, selfish, etc. I realized that I joined the right family when we were driving in the funeral processional and my MIL needed something to eat, so she grabbed a powdered donut that we had in the car and took a bite. She had powder on her black pants and we all laughed. My SIL then said, "You ought to sprinkle some of that powder on your nose and act all hyped up grave side." We all started laughing. I then told them, "I know I joined the right family when we are making coke jokes in the car in the funeral processional line in our "Sunday's Best." Love each and every one of them! Moral of the story, when you marry, you marry the family. Just make sure you are ok with that! I know some of my friends can't stand their in-laws, and I feel very sorry for them. I am so thankful for mine! They treat me like one of them, and it is the best feeling.

  3. I go by Dunkin in Pelham every day. I even got free coffee and tuna bagel the other day for complaining on twitter that the staff was rude. ;)
